UNIVERSITY OF GHANA(LEGON) RAISES THE PASS MARK TO 80%
Share
The University of Ghana (Legon) from next academic year will only award grade A to students who score 80% and above.
Previously, the system awarded grade A to students who scored 70% and above. The decision which was taken by the academic board of the University is part of revisions being made to the University’s academic system.
The new grading system will start next academic year alongside some new programmes. The review of the university's academic system will also consider grades obtained at Level 100 which were previously non-scoring to the students’ cumulative point average at the end of their four-year study.
Logic and reasoning will also become a prerequisite for every student of the university before graduation.
University students especially, the freshers are urged to learn hard since their grades for first year will be taken into consideration.

SMART PHONES AND HEALTHCARE ......
Come to think of a situation in one of the Universities in Ghana of about 17,000 students population with two(2) pharmacy outlets operating on campus which closes at 6:00 PM. In case one needs medicine(s) beyond that time has to travel not less than 1 KM away from a hall of residence to the nearest pharmacy outlet. I believe this scenario prevails in almost all our tertiary institutions where you will agree with me that pharmacy outlets are few and non-existent on some campuses.
Since you can't guarantee which pharmacy outlet has the needed medicine(s) even if its closer to you and also to avoid the situation of covering such distance without getting the needed medicine(s) and also not sure of the cost of the medicine you intend to purchase, i suggest the best option to save time, money and life is to fall on this Mobile Web App. www.medixsearch.com
